Your Role and Responsibilities

The Government Business Development Executive (BDE) is responsible for the identification, validation, development, progression, and winning business primarily funded by the government.

The BDE is expected to drive large deals in signings and new income from those signings. This includes building strategic partnerships with government agencies to identify & shape government objectives that align with IBM’s strategy.

Responsibilities
• Identify new opportunities by analysing industry strategies, technology shifts and business changes·
• Forge & sustain successful strategic partnerships with government agencies
• Craft potential new engagements, define value propositions, articulate technical differentiation, and secure teaming partners where appropriate.
• The government BDE candidates should have experience in consultative selling, building client relationships, leading sales efforts, leading meetings, and delivering presentations.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
• 20+ years of sales/consultative selling experience with Government customers
• Expertise in managing Government contracts and/or proposals

This job requires you to be fully COVID-1+ vaccinated prior to your start date and proof of vaccination status will be required before your start date.
