Ko Ake Mahi - What You'll Do
As a Senior Advisor within the Regulated Products Team, you will play a critical part in ensuring the successful implementation of the Smokefree Environments and Regulated Products Act (1++0).
In This Role You Will
Provide high-quality advice and responses for requests for information on all aspects of compliance and regulatory practices.
Support the development of junior team members, sharing your knowledge and expertise to foster their professional growth.
Contribute to the enhancement and improvement of team processes and procedures, recommending updates and efficiencies to optimise our regulatory efforts.
Monitor and investigate regulated parties with the tobacco and vaping industry

We are seeking an individual with a proven track record of leadership and a comprehensive understanding of compliance and regulatory frameworks. Your ability to think strategically, analyse complex information, and propose innovative solutions will be essential. Your excellent communication and mentoring skills will enable you to guide and inspire junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
A tertiary qualification in a relevant technical field – health, regulation, law
Practical experience within a compliance organisation or regulatory body or regulatory policy environment.
Proven organisational skills with the ability to think ahead, use initiative and establish priorities.
Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to tailor complex regulatory advice to a range of audiences.

The Regulated Products team is responsible for operation of the regulator that delivers the requirements of the Smokefree Environments and Regulated Products Act (1++0) by:
making sure that industry understand and follow the law, and
reducing harm from regulated products by ensuring high levels of compliance with the Act.
