Position Summary
The role is part of the India IT Team & will be handling support to ERP application team, taking care of DBA operational task, along with maintaining Oracle ERP systems.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned beyond the core functions listed below.
• Performing database administration activities in a safe, recoverable, and professional manner that ensures optimal operation of all database environments.
• Collaboration with Application Development teams to support Oracle ERP Applications R12 (12.1 & 12.2).
• Performing capacity monitoring and short and long-term capacity planning in collaboration with development resources, system administrators and system architects
• Will be required to architect Permanent solution for issues in areas like RMAN, ASM, RAC, AD Utilities, DB patching, Data guard, Refresh/cloning etc.
• Will have tasks on Shell scripting, DB & apps performance analysis etc.
• Architecting the cloud application support as system administrator.
• Require leading DB upgrade & application upgrade as per the Gates Oracle roadmap.
• Present Oracle ERP Applications R12.x or higher and Oracle RDBMS 11gR2 or higher (12c ,1+c) related solutions in technology architect board.
• Ability to lead the projects with minimal super vision and direction.
• Ability to work under pressure, willing to work in regional zone as and when needed.
• Represent the DBA team, architect the solution and lead the projects as per the business needs.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: The incumbent reports to AGM - IT ERP Application in India and support him in all day-to-day activities to achieve the business objectives of the company
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
• Bachelor's Degree in computer science, Information Technology, or equivalent.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience as Oracle Apps DBA
• Good to have certification on OCI or AWS.
• Good to have knowledge on other RDBMS ( MySQL, MSSQL. etc)
Required Skills
• Minimum 7 years' experience working on Oracle EBS application, Oracle database technologies.
• Hands on experience with shell scripting.
• Good hands-on experience in working with Operating Systems (Unix, Linux)
• Must have experience in handling at least one Major EBS database & application upgrades end to end (1+c & 12.2.x).
• Serve as technical lead, Database Administrator for E-Business Suite applications.
• Proven experience with performance tuning, capacity planning, disaster recovery planning and testing.
• Familiar with storage level snaps at array level and able to resolve issues.
• Can demonstrate history of solving complex problems across multiple modules.
• Support security/SOX audit reporting and provide input and recommendations.
• Support change management including maintenance across multiple environments and deploying code and approved patches.
• Proven ability to work through SRs with Oracle Corporation technical support
• Demonstrate diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
• Proven analytic skills and strong judgment
• Excellent communication skills - written and verbal
• Ability to work effectively with others and share knowledge to ensure team success.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Willing to work on weekends and off hours to support Biz if needed
