Sr. Analyst – FP&A Global Sustainability & Climate
Global Finance seeks an outstanding finance professional to join the Global Sustainability & Climate (GS&C) team as a Senior analyst. The successful candidate should be skilled in financial analysis, and good at problem solving and managing data quality. The candidate will receive unmatched exposure to the finance analytics business world by delivering high-visibility, complex projects to DTTL leadership.
Work you’ll do
Global GS&C team supports leadership with Deloitte member firms financial reporting and strategic financial analysis projects. Key responsibilities include:
Create high-quality, flexible databases and custom reports of GS&C financial results and investment related data
Perform detailed financial analysis of member firm, Global business, and GS&C investments performance
Prepare high-visibility financial reporting for DTTL leadership including the DTTL CFO, COO and Executive Committee
Deliver ad-hoc, strategic analysis projects as directed by DTTL executive leadership
Provides analytical support; conducts research as required. Drives and distributes ad-hoc reports/mines and assimilates related data as directed for use in planning and forecasting activities
Creates analytical tools and models for driving process efficiencies
Builds working and collaborative relationships with the various teams and mid-management to support business priorities and objectives through complex financial modeling and ad-hoc reporting
Responsible for the day-to-day management of assigned budgets, including reviewing and coding individual expenses/billings, transaction flow, and account reconciliation to ledger
Support Finance Manager/Controller with monthly forecast and book closure process
Qualifications
Background
4-6 years in an accounting, corporate finance, operations, or consulting role, preferably in a global organization
Semi - Qualified / Qualified Chartered Accountants / MBA in finance from reputed institutes
Excellent spoken and written communication skills in English
Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint knowledge
General Expectations
Deliver top-notch client service and accurate reporting / analysis of financial operations
Act as a Trusted Business Advisor to Finance leaders by identifying value-added insights on issues impacting the business and investments
Interest to learn quickly and take on challenging projects where every detail matters
Manage client expectations through timely responsiveness, setting expectations and limiting surprises/delays
Possess a flexible work style, including ability to work late during peak periods to meet deadlines
Skills
Mastery (or ability to quickly achieve mastery) in DTTL financial systems including SAP BW, AO (Analysis for Office), Client Intelligence Reporting (CIR) tool, others as needed
Good knowledge of Excel for financial analytics and data modeling, with interest to master Excel
Good knowledge of financial accounting (income statements, balance sheets) and financial / operational key performance indicators
Keen and inquisitive outlook towards the financial data to understand the story / knowledge behind numbers
Support data management, consolidation and analysis of Investments budgets and spends
Prepare periodic updates of custom reports
Good Knowledge of PowerPoint for creation of executive-level presentations
Demonstrate validation/observation skills relating to Finance presentations for DTTL executive leadership
Contribute to complex ad hoc financial reporting and analysis with guidance from senior staff
Familiar with Outlook and Word
