As a Senior Analytics Engineer, your work will be crucial in enhancing our cloud migration and evolving our analytics practice and ways of working. You’ll help to drive the transition of our analytics solutions from being dispersed across multiple teams, standardised data models & data products, ensuring reliability, consistency, and speed in our analytical activities. You'll work closely with data analysts and data engineering teams across the bank to build user-friendly data models and develop supporting documentation to enable confident use of data.
You'll play a pivotal role in enhancing Kiwibank’s analytical capabilities, bridging the gap between business objectives and technical implementation. By collaborating with Data Engineers, you'll leverage foundational data products to create advanced, business-focused analytics solutions that drive informed decision-making and support our overall business goals.

For this role we are looking for someone with a strong and experienced skillset and we would love to hear from you if you have experience in the following:
Demonstrated track record working in data engineering and analytics engineering or a related role.
Ability to interpret complex business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively communicating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Experience with cloud-based data warehousing solutions, such as Snowflake.
Knowledge of data modelling, data pipeline processes, and data integration techniques.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a natural curiosity coupled with keen pragmatism.
Experience working in an agile development environment.
Proficiency in SQL/Python to support data modelling and analysis.
Previous experience in the financial services industry would be a bonus.
