Fashion Designer
A key role in our organization is the Fashion Designer, responsible for driving collaborative design and facilitating the transition from design to production.
Key Responsibilities:
Identifying and engaging with partner customers aligned with our brand values and requirements.
Designing aesthetically pleasing products that balance price points, timelines, and environmental considerations.
Managing customer relationships, including designing briefs and timelines that meet our checklist.
Collaborating with internal teams to source materials and add value through sourcing and designing.
Key Result Areas:
Hitting target design rates.
Retaining customers and achieving high customer satisfaction levels.
Key Initiatives:
Developing a comprehensive directory of fabrics, including core and trend-based options.
Competencies:
Operating as an intrapreneur, taking ownership of the business unit.
Designing products that balance pricing and technical considerations.
Telling the story of the creation process, highlighting themes of collaboration and India's capabilities.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Driving the collaborative design process in Product Development, ensuring the involvement of Material Merchants, Technicians, and other stakeholders.
Communicating with customers throughout the production process, providing updates, clarifications, and suggestions for improvement.
Working with the Purchasing team to consolidate vendors based on season and brand.
Initiating a platform to showcase Product Progress (PP) and Total Output (TOP), and sharing this information with customers.
Success Measures:
Ensuring timely delivery and quality in Product Development.
Maintaining Weekly Work-in-Progress (WIPs) reports, with pre-updated and monthly output monitoring systems (MOMS).
Financial Responsibility:
Having a deep understanding of revenue goals and planning accordingly.
Managing gross margins by analyzing interlinkages between revenue goals, groups, garments, amounts, prices, costs, and timelines.
Designing products to drive sales and growth, meeting financial targets and creating Sales Sheets.
Qualification and Experience:
Must be a graduate of the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT).
Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience.
