The Opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Associate to join our leading Band 1 Real Estate team based in Melbourne.

In this role you will work closely with industry-leading Partner Niresha Mudalige, as well as opportunities to work with the wider Partner group in a team of highly ambitious, cohesive, and talented professionals.

You work on a diverse range of cutting-edge matters for national and international clients, with a variety of interesting and complex Real Estate M&A transactions, commercial and mixed-use developments, major sales and acquisitions and high value commercial and industrial leasing. The team acts for many large local and overseas based infrastructure and property investors, developers and operators on some of the most significant real estate deals in Australia and the Asia-Pacific region.

The team supports clients across a wide range of asset classes - including data centres and digital infrastructure, living sectors (PBSA, BTR and retirement), renewable energy, office, healthcare, industrial and logistics, and agriculture/forestry.

There is genuine opportunity for growth within the team and you will have the benefit of working closely with a very supportive Partner. You will have a high level of client exposure and opportunities to develop a network of relationships, as well as the opportunity to work with partners and lawyers across the network.

What you’ll bring

Demonstrable experience as a Senior Associate across a range of real estate matters including complex real estate investment, acquisition/disposal and development transactions and leasing.
An excellent academic record coupled with strong legal skills and a practical mindset.
A proactive approach and desire to be an integral member of our leading and supportive team.
An ability to work to tight timeframes, collaboratively across practice groups and at times autonomously.
Exceptional communication skills and ability to demonstrate collegiality within a team.
Have a hunger to learn and develop and be part of maintaining a market-leading practice working on leading edge transactions.
An innovative mindset, curious about AI and emerging technologies.
