Key Responsibilities
Analyze complex life insurance processes and translate them into detailed functional specifications, requirements, and user stories.
Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders (users, clients) and technical/development teams to ensure functional and technical alignment.
Conduct gap analysis, impact assessments, and support the design of optimal technical solutions.
Partner with clients on various consulting projects, providing expert guidance on life insurance and annuity administration, processes, and systems.
Define and prioritize requirements for application enhancements to improve overall business functionality and user experience.
Analyze, develop, and implement functional requirements related to the efficient and effective management of life insurance and annuity products.
Domain Focus Areas:
Claims Handling: Define requirements for timely and fair claims resolution processes.
Agent Compensation: Define requirements for establishing and maintaining compensation structures that incentivize sales and customer satisfaction.
Quality Assurance & Process Improvement
Participate in system testing, provide support for User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and assist with user training.
Explore and define opportunities for automation to streamline business processes and increase operational efficiency.
Test Automation (Secondary): Knowledge of automation frameworks and reporting tools, including writing, executing, monitoring, and maintaining automated test suites.
Familiarity with CI/CD tools and the Agile process.
Provide training and support to less experienced team members to ensure effective knowledge sharing and skill development.
Maintain excellent written and verbal communication skills, effective in both one-on-one and group settings.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Domain Expertise (Primary): Strong functional knowledge and SME-level experience (8-14 years) in the US Life Insurance and Annuity domain is essential.
Business Analysis: Proven experience performing core Business Analyst functions, including requirements gathering, functional specification writing, gap analysis, and solution design support.
Policy & Claims: Expertise in processes related to Policy Administration and Claims Handling.
Compensation: Strong understanding of Agent Compensation/Commission structures.
Technical Acumen (Secondary):
Knowledge of Functional Testing and Functional Test Design.
Familiarity with databases (e.g., MySQL, Oracle).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Basic programming skills are a plus.
Methodology: Experience working in an Agile environment.
