This is a unique opportunity to support a whole-of-agency reform, focused on implementing a new operating model underpinned by Regulatory Stewardship and Excellence. The role will help define and design how Fair Trading delivers services through streamlined operations, improved customer experience, and integrated regulatory practice.
About the role
As a Senior Business Analyst, you will support the development of a new functional operating model that reflects contemporary regulatory stewardship and operational excellence. You’ll work across teams to understand the current state, map processes and customer journeys, and help design fit-for-purpose future state models that align with regulatory priorities, digital capability, and customer expectations.
Your work will directly contribute to the improvement of dispute resolution, compliance, enforcement, and customer support functions, supporting a joined-up, data-informed approach to delivering fair, efficient, and effective regulatory services.
Your responsibilities will include:
Identify and analyse existing business processes, systems and other functional requirements to document and recommend improvements to enhance business operations and performance
Map current and future state business processes and customer journeys to support operating model design
Liaise with the internal customers and stakeholders to review and monitor effectiveness of tools, systems, methods and standards to ensure consistency and quality of outcomes
Influence and negotiate with stakeholder to obtain consensus for change initiatives to facilitate scoping and setting business priorities
Gather, analyse and translate business data to meaningful insights to support informed decision making to improve the effectiveness of processes and programs
Implement a structured project planning framework in accordance with approved standards, agile and best practice methodologies to improve efficiency, effectiveness and usability of systems and/or products
Partner with stakeholder to undertake projects and corporate initiatives to ensure requirements and standards are met and best practice techniques are used
Manage and co-ordinate planning and processes to ensure all critical business functionality is tested and a quality system is delivered and accepted by key stakeholders
Support the development of customer journeys, functional and process requirements, and documentation for process improvements
Use data, insights, and stakeholder input to shape and validate future ways of working
