NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.
The shift pattern for this post is Monday – Friday, 09:00 to 17:00.
This is a Fixed term post until 31st March 2027.
We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Senior Business Support Assistant to provide a full range of administrative support services for a fixed term period. The post holder will provide all business support to the Health Improvement Team who manage the Community Link Worker (CLW) programme across Glasgow City HSCP. This will include supporting contract management, liaising and working in partnership with GP practices, CLWs and communicating with local and contracted organisations to ensure a comprehensive programme is delivered.
We require someone who is an excellent team player and is able to co-ordinate their work efficiently and effectively within a fast paced structure. You must have the confidence to act on your own initiative, work as part of a small team and work within a wider team network, along with processing confidential administrative duties and enquiries efficiently.
You must be able to support the team with day to day administrative duties but also have excellent planning, organisational and IT skills. The post requires the ability to apply problem solving skills and manage conflicting demands, through the use of good time management and prioritisation skills. Significant experience in planning meetings and taking detailed minutes is also essential.
You should have proven experience in a Business Support/administrative role and preferably be educated to HNC Level/SVQ Level 3 in a Business Support related subject, or have equivalent experience. The post holder will be highly skilled in Microsoft Office packages and must demonstrate excellent attention to detail.

As from 1st April 2026, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part time hours will be reduced pro-rata. However, there will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.
