Nga kawenga | About the role

The purpose of this position is to manage offenders who are sentenced to community work and/or community detention. We are seeking a future-focussed, dynamic people-person who can traverse Te Ao Maori comfortably, providing manaaki of our people on sentence and kaitiaki of our community work centre as Senior Community Work Supervisor.

We are all about changing lives and creating pathways through meaningful Community Work projects. As a Senior Community Work Supervisor, you will oversee and manage community workers serving community work sentences on meaningful projects at schools, reserves, community groups, Marae and churches.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Managing people in our care who have been sentenced to community work
Managing community work projects
Monitoring sentence compliance
Building work relationships with community agencies
Mentoring and coaching Community Work Supervisors
A full drivers licence including the ability to drive a manual vehicle is essential. This positon is based in Timaru.

Utu a-tau | Salary

The starting salary range is $67,182 to $6+,476 - appointment and remuneration will reflect skills and experience relevant to the role. Once in the role there is opportunity to increase your salary up to $73,828.
