MAIN JOB PURPOSE:
Data as a Platform (DAAP) is a flagship program with Data and Analytics (D&A) to build a cross functional Data Platform enabling data democratisation across the enterprise. Our Data Centre of Excellence Team are a growing Data Talent Hub for Unilever, who are tasked to deliver the data foundations needed to unlock maximum value from data to guide business and organisational performance.
This is an exciting opportunity to be the Change & Transformation Manager as part of Data & Analytics, Data Centre of Excellence. This is a crucial role within a data team, particularly when it comes to managing the rapid pace of change in data and technology. In today's dynamic business environment, where advancements in data and technology are occurring at an unprecedented rate, we must proactively adapt and evolve to remain cut-throat.
The Change and Transformation Manager acts as a bridge between the technical aspects of data & technology and the organisational aim, ensuring that the team's efforts align with the broader business goals.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Change Strategy Development: Be the catalyst for driving change within Data CoE Team, effectively communicating, and engaging with team members and stakeholders (at all levels) to build and execute a shared vision. Developing and executing communication plans to keep stakeholders informed about the progress, benefits, and impact of the changes.
Training & Development: Ensures that the team has the necessary resources, training and support to adapt to new technologies and processes. Identifying skill gaps, designing training programs, and fostering a culture of continuous learning within the team.
Continuous Improvement & Data Community Building: Change and transformation are ongoing processes. This role will ensure we foster a culture of continuous improvement within the data team, encouraging innovation, collaboration, learning events and communities of practice across the enterprise.
The role of the data change and transformation manager is multifaceted in nature, encompassing strategic, tactical and people-oriented aspects. By effectively fulfilling these responsibilities, this role contributes to successful and sustainable change within the data team and helps the organization leverage data and technology advancements for improved business outcomes.

The ideal candidate for a Data Change and Transformation manager possesses a unique combination of skills, experience and personal attributes.
Change Management Expertise: A strong background in change management methodologies and practices. You should be adept at developing change strategies, creating communication and training plans and managing stakeholders throughout the change process. Experience in successful data-related change initiatives is highly valuable.
Guidance and Influencing Skills: Strong skills to effectively guide and inspire the data team through the transformation journey. You should be able to influence stakeholders at different levels, facilitate collaboration and build consensus. Effective communication, listening and relationship-building skills are essential.
Analytical and Problem-Solving Abilities: Data change and transformation initiatives often involve complex. You should be skilled in analysing situations, identifying root causes and developing effective solutions. You should have a strategic mindset and the ability to translate high-level goals into actionable plans.
Project Management Skills: Successful transformation efforts require effective project management. You should have experience in planning, organising, and executing complex projects within allocated timeframes and resources. You should be able to manage risks, track progress and ensure the achievement of project deliverables.
Adaptability and Flexibility: You should thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. You should be comfortable with ambiguity and able to navigate through uncertain situations. Adaptability, flexibility and resilience are key qualities to handle the evolving nature of data and technology changes.
Collaboration and Team-Building Abilities: A Data Change and Transformation manager needs to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. You should have strong interpersonal skills to foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment. The ability to build and motivate teams, delegate responsibilities and resolve conflicts is crucial.
It's important to note that while technical skills and experience are crucial, personal attributes such as adaptability, communication and skills are equally important.
