Manage and maintain all databases used by the organization, ensuring high levels of performance, availability, and security.
Optimize database systems for maximum efficiency and scalability, ensuring the best possible performance for critical healthcare operations.
Monitor and troubleshoot database issues, identifying and resolving any problems that may arise in a timely manner.
Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies to ensure the integrity and availability of data.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new database systems to support business needs.
Lead and mentor junior database administrators, providing guidance and support to help them grow and develop their skills.
Proactively identify and implement solutions to improve database performance and reliability.
Stay up-to-date with the latest database technologies and trends, and make recommendations for their implementation as needed.
Create and maintain documentation of database processes, procedures, and standards.
Communicate clearly and effectively with team members and stakeholders to ensure a smooth and efficient operation of database systems.
Work closely with application developers to ensure database changes are properly tested and deployed.
Adhere to security and compliance standards to ensure the protection of sensitive data.
Participate in on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support for critical database issues.
Collaborate with external vendors to troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues.
Continuously monitor and improve database performance and capacity to meet the growing needs of the organization.
