Senior Database Engineer Location:
Bangalore is a leading conversational AI vendor that make it easier for customers to reach you in their preferred channels.
Our major services are including voice automation, self-service containment and repeat call reduction.
Our DevOps DBE team is seeking for a Senior DBA to join us to manage and support our production databases, including MySQL, Cassandra and PostgreSQL databases.
Job Description Review design and code from developer teams including database schema, objects, queries, user defined functions, etc.
Provide relevant physical design and implementation.
Automate database server setup, backup, logging, monitoring and alerting mechanisms.
Manage database security and auditing.
Tune various DB instances to chase best performance.
Ensure all database programs meet company and performance requirement.
Troubleshooting database issues, resolve tickets from production or developer teams.
Keep improve best practices to developer team to help optimize production whole systems.
Work with Product Owners to gather and understand user requirements and identify new features.
Provide On-Call service and cooperate with SRE team guarantee production line running well.
Requirements:
More than 5 years production DBA experience.
Managed both OLTP and OLAP databases.
Demonstrate extensive knowledge and experience in MySQL, Cassandra and PostgreSQL database features, usage and best practices.
In-depth understanding of modern data driven system and database requirement (e.g., DB scaling and distribution, schema flexibility, auto query generation and relevant issues, typical production database challenges etc.) Demonstrate production level tuning and troubleshooting skills for MySQL, Cassandra, PostgreSQL.
Familiar with PostgreSQL Citus extension and distributed sharded databases.
Demonstrate knowledge of cloud solutions and services environment.
Ideally, with hands on Google Cloud CLI experience.
Hands on coding experience with mysql, cqlsh, psql, shell, python or perl scripting.
Be familiar with MySQL and PostgreSQL stored procedure coding.
Be familiar with Linux (centos 7 and 8), network and Google Cloud gcloud CLI.
Excellent analytical and organization skills An ability to understand users' requirements and a problem-solving attitude.
The candidate should be self-motivated, be able to collaborate in a team environment, and show initiative to support and promote solutions that enhance the modern development environment.

Experience of Google Cloud, including terraform and salt coding, big query, buckets, or airflow Better to know the Other databases like MongoDB and ElasticSearch, Kafka.
