Join our dynamic Engineering Team at Bruce Rock Engineering as a Senior Designer and play a key role in shaping the future of road transport trailers.
We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative professional to lead the design of cutting-edge trailers that set industry standards for quality, efficiency, and durability. If you have a passion for precision engineering and a desire to contribute to a team dedicated to excellence, continuous improvement, and the advancement of transport solutions then read on.
Key responsibilities of the role:
Design of highly customised trailers and other equipment.
Detail drawings for highly customised assemblies.
Output of accurate Bill of Materials.
Thoroughly knowledge of ADR’s, state and federal transport regulations.
Special/highly customised trailer design with minimal input, errors and rework.
Thorough understanding of key vehicle design parameters.
Complete ECR’s.
Produce sales combination layouts.
Internal communication with all business departments.
Liaising regularly with all BRE suppliers to ensure scope of work is updated and in line with original design.
Product research.
Mentor junior staff members.
About you:
Mechanical Engineering Diploma (degree desirable but not essential).
Minimum of 5 years industry experience.
Manufacturing experience.
2D Drawing Software (AutoCAD).
3D Design Software (Inventor preferred).
ERP (Epicor preferred).
Sound communication skills.
Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment.
