Job Description
As a Senior Drafting Technician your duties, responsibilities and necessary qualifications would be as follows:
Reporting directly to the Drafting Manager:
Prepare and review preliminary plot plans and produce customer working drawings
Prepare and review site and detailed grading plans
Produce customer working drawings and plot plans
Prepare and submit building permit applications, monitor and process approvals and building permits
Produce final house plans for production
Interact with Drafting team members and Production Managers
Customize standard building plans to suit client selections and upgrades
Qualifications:
5-7+ years of drafting/design experience in residential construction
Degree/diploma in Architectural Technology/Design
Understanding of Manitoba/National building codes, standard, and construction practices
Construction knowledge - building technology, processes, building materials
Microsoft Office, AutoCad, Soft Plan
Professional and effective communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment
