The primary role of Engineering function within Product Development team is to create specifications and designs for new products or improvements and enhancements to existing products. Works closely with customers, developers and other stakeholders to understand and define customer needs in these designs. Features are aligned to a timetable and areas of responsibility. Developers may solicit customers for feedback regarding product usability and desired future enhancements. Software Engineers who design, write and test code for the product should be matched in the either Software Engineering Applications or Systems. Product developers who specialize in hardware systems should be matched to Hardware Engineering. Let’s talk about Responsibilities The primary objective of “Software Engineering” specialization within “Engineering(PD)” Job Family is to design, develop, test and deliver software that meets our business and customer needs.

Key responsibilities include:

Design, develop and test software; Verify software behavior meets requirements through manual and automated tests; Deliver quality product within timeline; Document product design; Analyze, debug and help resolve customer issues; Collaborate and communicate effectively with all stakeholders required.

Performs work in a specialized area of expertise that requires knowledge of fundamental themes, principles and concepts. Typically requires a university degree or equivalent work experience.

The ResMed(MatrixCare) R&D team is looking for a Software Engineer to design and code industry-disruptive products with the latest tools and technologies.

As our Software Engineer, your job will entail:
• Debug existing code to fix defects in software
• Write code to improve existing software solutions, services, components, and interfaces
• Write software tests and unit tests to validate software solutions leveraging test-driven development techniques
• Design and create relational databases leveraging data management and data structures best practices
• Write code to implement new software solutions, services, components, and interfaces
• Build and deploy software packages using Continuous Integration and Continuous Development best practices for delivering software as a service
• Participate in architectural, design, and code reviews providing insight to other engineers and their solutions
• Leverage known design patterns to design new software solutions, services, components, and interfaces for ResMed(MatrixCare) family of products
• Troubleshoot and resolve system performance issues leveraging software algorithm design best practices
• Leverage known secure programming principles to design new software solutions, services, components, and interfaces that meet industry and government standards for security and data protection
• Other (meetings, communication, documentation)

• Experience with Object Oriented Programming
• Experience with relational databases (Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, etc.)
• Development experience with C#
• Experience with ASP.NET Core Web Api
• Experience developing enterprise software applications in an n-tier architecture
• Experience developing multi-threaded applications
• Experience writing unit tests
• JavaScript, TypeScript, React or Angular, HTML5, CSS3, Responsive Web
• Bootstrap 3/4, JSON

Also great if you have experience with:
• Experience with CI/CD systems
• Exposure to infrastructure solutions and deployment
• Test automation
• Experience in the healthcare industry
• AWS experience
