What Aurora Dairies can offer you
Aurora Dairies are currently seeking a Senior Farm Hand or Farm Hand for a dairy farm in Broadmeadows, located 10 minutes from Smithton in North-West Tasmania.
This farm is approximately 320ha and 144ha is under centre pivot and K-Line irrigation systems. We are currently milking 1,150 cows, through a 50 bail rotary shed with ACR’s, auto teat spray and auto drafting and we use Easy Dairy for all herd records.
This farm is 100% Spring calving beginning in mid-August. The herd is medium frame quiet natured cows. We run a two-herd system with an easy entry & exits system and the farm is predominantly pasture based with pellets fed in the dairy.
Accommodation may be available for the right candidate and there could be opportunities for employment for your partner on one of our nearby farms, if required.

All aspects of milking.
Animal husbandry.
Pasture management.
Machinery operation.

Past dairy industry experience is highly desirable for this position, but we may consider inexperienced applicants with the right attitude at Farm Hand level.
