Job Description: We are seeking a talented and experienced Head Designer to lead our design team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fashion design with a focus on fast fashion. As the Senior Designer, you will be responsible for creating and executing design concepts that align with our brand's vision and values. You will lead a junior designer and collaborate closely with other departments to ensure the successful development of our collections.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the design team and oversee all design processes from concept to final product.
• Develop and execute design concepts that reflect the brand’s vision of minimalistic, polished, and comfortable clothing.
• Manage and mentor the designing team.
• Conduct market research and trend analysis to keep the brand updated with the latest fashion trends and consumer preferences.
• Collaborate with the production team to ensure designs are feasible and aligned with production capabilities.
• Present design ideas and collections to senior management.
• Ensure all designs meet quality standards and brand guidelines.
• Calculate costs and work on budget management for all design projects.
• Identify opportunities to reduce fabric waste and improve production efficiency.
• Develop a good understanding of the fashion business and market dynamics.
• Stay updated with industry developments and competitor activities.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree (B.Sc.) in Fashion Design.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in fashion design, preferably in fast fashion or similar categories.
• Strong portfolio showcasing your design skills and experience in creating minimalistic and comfortable clothing.
• Proficient in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and other relevant tools.
• Excellent understanding of fabrics, materials, and garment construction.
• Strong ability to calculate costs and manage project budgets effectively.
• Experience in identifying and implementing strategies to reduce fabric waste.
• Good sense of fashion business and market trends.
• Creative mindset with a keen eye for detail and aesthetics.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
