Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Fashion Designer to join our esteemed menswear luxury label. The successful candidate will work with the design team to ensure our brand's aesthetic and quality standards are consistently met while staying abreast of industry trends. This role requires a strong understanding of menswear fashion, excellent design skills, and the ability to translate concepts into innovative and commercially viable collections.
Responsibilities:
• Conceptualization and development of menswear collections from sketches to final production.
• Create mood boards, color palettes, and fabric and embroidery selections to align with the brand's vision.
• Create detailed technical drawings and specifications for garment construction as per collections.
• Work with pattern makers to ensure accurate interpretation of designs and maintain quality standards.
• Assist in sourcing fabrics, trims, and materials for development.
• Work with cross-functional teams including merchandising, production, and marketing to ensure cohesive product assortments and brand messaging.
• Assist with client consultations and fittings at our Flagship Kala Ghoda Store, as well as handle online and offline consultations.
• Research and analyze market trends, competitor offerings, and consumer preferences.
• Stay informed about advancements in fabric technology, construction techniques, and sustainability practices to incorporate into designs.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior designers, fostering their growth and development within the team.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or related field; advanced degree preferred
• 3+ years of Experience with Menswear Silhouettes
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and design softwares
• Knowledge of Couture Embroideries, Garment Construction, and Fabrics
• Knowledge of Bespoke Tailoring/Made to Measure
• Knowledge of Sustainability Practices in the Fashion Industry
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Flexibility to travel for sourcing trips, fashion shows, and industry events as needed
