We are seeking a highly creative and experienced Senior Fashion Designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will bring a strong sense of style, a passion for fashion, and a deep understanding of market trends. As a Senior Fashion Designer, you will lead the design process from concept to production, ensuring that each collection aligns with our brand vision and meets the highest standards of quality and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design Development: Lead the creative process from concept to completion, including sketching, fabric selection, and development of mood boards, color palettes, and garment construction details.
• Trend Analysis: Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, materials, and innovations in the fashion industry. Incorporate these insights into seasonal collections.
• Collection Planning: Collaborate with the creative team to develop seasonal collections that align with brand identity, target audience, and business goals.
• Sample Oversight: Manage the creation of samples, fittings, and alterations, ensuring designs are executed to perfection.
• Team Leadership: Mentor and guide junior designers and interns, providing constructive feedback and fostering a creative, collaborative environment.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with production, marketing, and merchandising teams to ensure the timely delivery and commercial success of each collection.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure all designs meet quality standards and are delivered within budget and timelines.
• Presentation and Communication: Present design concepts to stakeholders, including the creative director, buyers, and executives.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in fashion design.
• Strong portfolio showcasing creative design skills, a keen eye for detail, and an understanding of contemporary fashion trends.
• Expertise in garment construction, pattern making, draping, and textiles.
• Proficiency in design software, such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CAD.
• Strong understanding of fashion production processes and garment manufacturing.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong leadership skills and experience mentoring or managing junior designers.
