Senior Fashion Designer - Western wear

As a Senior Fashion Designer specializing in Western wear at FS Life, your role involves leading the conceptualization and development of Western wear collections from the initial idea to the final product. You will conduct thorough market research to identify emerging trends, fabrics, and techniques relevant to Western wear. Your creative direction will ensure that the design team's output aligns with the brand's vision and market demands. Additionally, you will create detailed sketches, oversee the development of prototypes and samples, and collaborate with various departments to ensure cohesive product development and successful launches. Your responsibilities will also include overseeing fittings and alterations to maintain the highest standards of quality and functionality. Furthermore, you will be responsible for identifying and liaising with suppliers and manufacturers to source materials and ensure timely production. Mentoring and developing junior designers to foster a creative and productive team environment will be a key aspect of your role. Lastly, you will prepare and present design concepts and collections to senior management and stakeholders.
Qualification & Experience:
- Bachelors or Master's degree in Fashion Design or a related field from NIFT
- Minimum of 6-9 years of experience in fashion design, with at least 6 years focused on Western wear
- A strong portfolio showcasing previous work in Western wear design
- Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CAD
- Strong understanding of garment construction, fabrics, and textiles specific to Western wear
- Excellent sketching and illustration skills
- Strong leadership and team management abilities
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
