Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
● Design and manage multiple product platforms that connect to the Brand DNA, seasonal
concept, and category direction, as well as integration of product & global
merchandising input
● Researching current fashion trends and sales trends and determining what consumers
will like
● Collaborating with the larger team to develop ideas for new products based on research
data
● Designing sketches for new products
● Creating clothing patterns for mass production
● Testing and deciding on fabrics, colors, patterns and textures for each design
● Overseeing the production of designs with sourcing, including carrying out fittings for fit
review, determining prices and managing marketing within pre-decided timelines
● Maintaining relationships with vendors & suppliers
● Communicating technical design information for customer samples
● Working with team members to design clothes for upcoming seasons
● Selecting fabrics and trims
