The Information Services Division (ISD) is responsible for the secure provision and support of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) services to PM&C and client agencies. ISD has various boards and committees which provide assurance and advice on ICT delivery and performance. These include the ICT Program Management Board (IPMB), Enterprise Design and Architecture Committee (EDAC), the Change Advisory Board (CAB), as well as three recently established boards which support the delivery of PM&C's Cyber Uplift Program including one with senior executive representation across government.
ISD is centralising the administration of its various ICT boards and committees and is seeking highly motivated individuals to join our high calibre, friendly and supportive teams to lead and support the associated governance functions.
The Senior Governance Officer, supported by the Governance Support Officer, will lead the secretariat and coordination support function for various boards and committees across the Information Services Division. You may also be required to handle sensitive information in accordance with the relevant polices and APS standards.
The key duties of the position include:
Drive the preparation of Senior Executive Service officer meeting material, including papers for consideration and decision by SES level boards and committees, and recording of meeting minutes, outcomes and decisions for meetings.
Draft high-quality and accurate written communication materials and visual presentations using Microsoft Office software.
Lead, plan and prioritise work, being flexible to changing business priorities, and acting as the escalation point for related matters of concern.
Initiate, build and maintain strong, productive working relationships with stakeholders across internal and external networks.
Mentor staff to be their best.
Undertake proactive continuous improvement and learning and development.

Our ideal candidate will have:
Demonstrated experience providing secretariat or governance support to a government board or similar.
Strong organisation skills, ability to manage competing priorities and respond to changing requirements.
Ability to prepare high quality communication materials, including formal Minutes, board papers and briefs, tailored to stakeholders working at varying levels, including senior executive audiences.
The ability to communicate with influence and clearly articulate messaging.
High attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage competing priorities under tight timeframes and under limited direction.
Ability to work well in a diverse team and mentor junior staff.
Demonstrated experience developing strong working relationships with stakeholders.
