Position Overview:

As a Senior Admin HR in Construction with five years of experience, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the human resources administrative functions within the construction industry. Your role will involve handling various HR tasks, including recruitment, employee onboarding, office administration, policy implementation, payroll, employee relations, and compliance. Your expertise in HR practices and construction industry regulations will contribute to maintaining a productive and harmonious work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Recruitment and Onboarding:

- Manage the recruitment process for construction-related positions, including drafting job descriptions, sourcing candidates, conducting interviews, and making hiring recommendations.

- Coordinate the onboarding process for new employees, including orientation, completing necessary paperwork, and ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.

- Collaborate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs, plan recruitment strategies, and ensure timely fulfillment of vacancies.

2. Office Administration:

- Oversee daily office operations, including managing correspondence, phone calls, and scheduling meetings.

- Advise and assist managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.

- Support performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, and development plans.

- Conduct investigations and disciplinary actions as necessary, ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable employment laws.

- Maintain office supplies inventory, reorder as necessary, and ensure proper functioning of office equipment.

- Implement and maintain efficient filing systems for documents, records, and project-related information.

- Facilitate effective communication among project teams, stakeholders, and clients.

- Serve as a point of contact for internal and external inquiries, directing them to the appropriate parties.

3. Payroll:

- Coordinate with payroll department to ensure accurate and timely processing of employee payroll, including deductions, leaves, and bonuses.

4. HR Reporting and Records Management:

- Maintain accurate employee records, ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations.

- Generate HR reports, metrics, and analytics for management review and decision-making.

- Maintain and update HR databases and systems to ensure data integrity.

- Manage and organize project documentation, including contracts, permits, drawings, specifications, and other related documents.

5. HR Policy and Compliance:

- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures that align with company goals, industry standards, and legal requirements.

- Stay updated with employment laws and regulations specific to the construction industry and ensure compliance in all HR practices.

- Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure HR policies, processes, and practices are aligned with legal and regulatory standards.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

- Minimum of five years of experience in HR administration, preferably within the construction industry.

- Strong knowledge of HR practices, labor laws, and regulations in the construction industry.

- Familiarity with construction-specific HR challenges, such as workforce scheduling, safety compliance, and union relations.

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact with employees at all levels.

- Proven experience in recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and performance management.

- Knowledge of benefits administration and payroll processes.

- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
