You new role
This is a varied and interesting HR generalist role (internally known as Senior HR Advisor) that will see you partnering with our diverse business on HR activities across the employment lifecycle. You will be a strong generalist who can work autonomously on site with the backing and collaboration of a national and global HR team. We’re looking for a stand-out team player who can build and develop relationships with ease and can coach and support our leaders and teams.

This is not your average ‘business as usual’ position. If you’re looking for a new challenge within a dynamic collaborative environment and enjoy navigating and leading through change – This is the opportunity you’ve been waiting for! We’re at a pivotal junction where several projects are about to kick off which you can be part of across key focus areas including Workday system implementation, EA negotiation, leadership, and talent development.

The day to day
Predominantly partnering with our Geochemistry business leaders and employees, you will lead end to end people and culture activities including:
Coaching and development of employees and people leaders
Employee relations and industrial instrument interpretation and advice
Performance, compliance and grievance management
Talent and succession management
Employee experience and engagement initiatives
Team and business change management
HR systems, reporting and analytics
Project work in collaboration with local and global teams
You will enjoy the full gamut of HR responsibilities, including ensuring employee-related processes and systems are consistent and compliant with legislative requirements, and reflective of the organisation’s values and brand.

The Essentials
As the successful candidate, you will be a strong team-player, ideally possessing the following skills and abilities:
Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources and/or Business.
Ability to anticipate and resolve HR matters across the employee lifecycle with a pragmatic and commercial approach.
Strong continuous improvement and service orientation, recognising the importance of delivering great outcomes for our people.
Proven advisory level experience in a generalist HR position, ideally supporting geographically dispersed sites.
Ability to interpret industrial legislation and instruments (i.e. Manufacturing, Storage and Clerks Awards). EA negotiation exposure would be highly regarded (not essential).
Experience with the implementation of HR systems would be highly regarded (not essential).
Computer literacy, with skills in Microsoft office products essential.
Ability to establish sound working relationships through strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
Ability to communicate with and influence people at all levels of the business, and be comfortable facilitating group presentations or training.
Well organised, with an attention to detail, and an ability to manage competing priorities.
Willingness to travel occasionally if required (domestic).
