Reporting directly to Group Manager People & Culture (with a dotted line to the Executive General Manager - North), this Senior HR Business Partner role will be responsible for Coates' North Business Unit (Queensland & Northern Territory).
We are continuously evolving to meet the needs of our employees and clients, and you'll be collaborating with the National People and Safety Teams on projects aimed at improving branding, culture, diversity, and workplace training.
Our Senior HR Business Partners are solutions oriented and excel when presented with challenges. You'll be joining a business that values the new ideas you will bring along with your generalist experience.
You'll enjoy variety in your role including:
Partnering with senior leaders to implement the people plans for the North business unit
Lead the implementation of various national initiatives - lead projects as required
Providing advice to stakeholders on relevant HR issues, including; policies and practices, procedures, legislation, and workplace related issues.
Ensuring continual development of employees through the performance development process.
Monitoring organisational legislative compliance in relation to workplace practices.
Provide fair and consistent management of grievances and disciplinary investigations as required

have degree qualifications in HR or similar field
have proven HR experience in an industrial environment
have managed and influenced stakeholders and be able to work with all levels of staff.
have managed challenging employee relation situations and as such, have excellent knowledge of employment legislation and ability to interpret awards and agreements.
