SORA Clothing Inc. is seeking a Senior Jewelry Designer to lead the design and development of innovative jewelry products and collections. The successful candidate will apply advanced industrial design techniques to create jewelry concepts, develop CAD models, and oversee the technical development of jewelry products from concept through production.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and design jewelry products and collections based on market trends, brand direction, and customer preferences
Prepare sketches, concept drawings, and technical specifications for jewelry designs
Create detailed 3D CAD models of jewelry pieces using professional design software
Develop prototypes and work with manufacturers to refine designs for production
Select appropriate gemstones, metals, and materials for jewelry products
Prepare technical design documentation including stone layouts, material specifications, and production instructions
Conduct research on industry trends, materials, and production technologies
Collaborate with production teams and suppliers to ensure design accuracy and quality standards
Evaluate prototypes and recommend design improvements for manufacturability and durability
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior designers and design assistants
Requirements
Education
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Industrial Design, Jewelry Design, Product Design, or a related field
Experience
Minimum 5 years of professional experience in jewelry or product design
Technical Skills
Experience with CAD design software such as Rhino, MatrixGold, JewelCAD, or similar tools
Knowledge of gemstones, precious metals, and jewelry manufacturing processes
Experience developing prototypes and technical production specifications
Additional Skills
Strong artistic and creative design ability
Attention to detail and high craftsmanship standards
Ability to manage multiple design projects and meet deadlines
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Work Setting
Work is performed in a professional design and product development environment. The position may involve collaboration with domestic and international jewelry manufacturers and suppliers.
