Why are we hiring a Senior Information Scientist? Due to a recent
retirement, we are hiring for an experienced Senior Information Scientist to
join our ever growing SEND Team! This is a role where you can create your own
path and work with multiple stakeholders.
Who’s Instem? Well, we’re a global provider of bespoke industry leading software solutions and services, which facilitate the pre-clinical, and clinical phases of the drug discovery
process.
We have over fifteen products in our portfolio, used by over 700 pharmaceutical clients (including all the top 20!)
Instem is a unique, solutions-based organisation. We’ve doubled in size over the last 3 years through new business and product enhancement, but also via acquisition. Our 5-year growth plan is progressive, and we need you to help us reach that next level!

What are you responsible for?
o Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of preclinical data
o Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of SEND (Standard
for Exchange of Nonclinical Data) and other regulatory standards/guidance
o Adherence to the Company’s Quality Management System to
ensure that all work is handled Securely, Professionally and Diligently
o Mentoring & Training regarding SEND and other
regulatory standards/guidance
o Perform reviews of preclinical data converted into SEND
o Perform reviews for SEND compliance
o Develop the ability to understand customer needs
o Engage in additional SEND related consultancy services:
1) SEND Education
2) SEND Consultancy
3) Dataset Verification
4) FDA Submissions
o Adherence to our Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure
all work is handled securely, professionally and diligently.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
o Bachelor’s degree in Life Science (or similar field) or IT
– Desirable
o Educational or professional experience in a Life
Sciences/Pre-Clinical environment or IT with an appreciation for complex
data.
o Excellent written and oral communications skills
o Strong interpersonal skills
o Membership of regulatory standards bodies like CDISC and or Phuse
