Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Integration Solutions Architect to provide technical leadership in the design and delivery of complex system integration solutions within a highly governed and mission-critical environment. In this role, you will be responsible for shaping and guiding end-to-end integration architectures, ensuring systems are designed for interoperability, scalability, and alignment with enterprise and Defence architectural standards. You will work closely with lead architects, engineers, and stakeholders to translate complex requirements into robust, secure, and fit-for-purpose technical solutions.
This is a 12 month contract role requiring Positive Vetting Clearance.
Requirements
What You’ll Do
Lead the design and implementation of complex system integration and interoperability solutions
Translate high-level requirements, high-level designs, and network architectures into detailed interface specifications
Develop and maintain Interface Control Documents (ICDs) and Interface Design Descriptions (IDDs)
Ensure integration designs align with approved architectural frameworks, standards, and Defence patterns
Collaborate with lead architects to refine system requirements into validated technical solutions
Work with Test and Evaluation teams to define test strategies and ensure full traceability of design to testing outcomes
Facilitate and lead technical working groups with internal stakeholders and external service providers
Analyse complex system requirements and ensure alignment across multiple platforms and environments
Provide technical governance and assurance across integration and interface design activities
Support decision-making through clear documentation, analysis, and architectural guidance
What You’ll Bring
Extensive experience in solution or integration architecture within complex, enterprise-scale environments
Strong capability in designing and documenting system interfaces and interoperability solutions
Proven experience producing and managing Interface Control Documents and interface specifications
Strong understanding of system integration approaches, including APIs, SOA principles, and messaging patterns
Ability to interpret complex technical artefacts such as HLDs, system specifications, and network designs
Experience working collaboratively with technical teams, architects, and business stakeholders
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage complex dependencies
Experience operating within structured governance frameworks and standards-driven environments
Strong communication and facilitation skills, including leading technical workshops and working groups
Familiarity with secure or mission-critical ICT environments (highly regarded)
