Senior Lab Technician

Job Description Summary Job Description Assists in the generation and execution of formal test protocols and reports. Sets up and operates test equipment and records measurements with limited supervision. Maintains accurate data and organizes and presents data in a reportable format Provides process/test method training to manufacturing/QC personnel. Develops and maintains a working knowledge of BD policies and procedures and ISO and FDA requirements Must be able to work in a biohazard environment and comply with safety policies and procedures outlined by BD policies. Manages hazmat and sample waste removal in coordination with corporate facilities Hazmat Coordinates/manages testing of released protocols, including insuring adequate test material inventory and reports on a project level. Manages the chemical inventory and MSDS upkeep. Ensures timely removal of expired chemicals Assists in statistical analysis of data. Test and document experimental results in a manner that complies with GMP and GLP guidelines. Provide process/test method training to Manufacturing/QC personnel and other technicians. Maintains accurate data, analyzes and assists in drawing conclusions. Responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of processes and equipment to produce products that meet customer requirements and are cost effective. Executes Continuous Improvement projects in the following (but not limited to) areas Equipment or method troubleshooting/repairs Coordinates with Test Method Development and Verification & Validation team for equipment and method validations Method or Equipment Upgrades Fixture maintenance Drawing or Specification modifications Maintain an R&D Laboratory Notebook Coordinates Calibration / Preventive Maintenance / repair schedule and documentation Maintains the Tool Crib and Fixture inventory Responsible for assisting in system assurance including documentation, testing and inspection, product and process development, and non-conforming product investigations. Responsible for assisting in the support of Manufacturing, New Product Development and Regulatory to ensure systems are in compliance with all internal and external guidelines.
