Purpose of the JobContributes to the success of Buckman’s digital strategy by offering impactful, innovative solutions, collaborating with the digital team, stakeholders and external partners on digital initiatives and successfully leading global projects (new applications, features, solutions, etc.) that create new and valuable outcomes for our customers. Job Responsibilities • Serves as a technical leader (software and/or hardware) on more than one digital project ensuring technical problems and challenges are resolved. • Leads and successfully completes complex global, digital projects throughout the entire life cycle of product development, including idea generation, rapid prototyping to develop MVP candidates, product development, and commercial deployment. • Completes analyses and creates key documentation (e.g. project and resource plan) to support and advance the project during the phase gate process. • Successfully manages external partners to ensure that Buckman’s digital business needs are met considering time, quality and cost. • Delivers expected outcomes on-time in one of these focus areas: sensor development, automation and controls, back end development , front end development, IoT development, data engineering, data analytics, mobile development, or data science. • Proactively identifies and promotes innovative solutions that have a broad, organizational impact (e.g., profitability, sales, efficiency). • Takes the initiative to learn innovative methods, tools, and technology and show others how they can be applied to work tasks. • Understands, buys-in and ensures alignment with Buckman 4.0 and the digital strategy. • Works effectively with R&D partners, digital associates, Strategic Marketing and sales to deliver effective digital solutions. • Ensures alignment and buy-in of digital direction with stakeholders and internal partners. • Understands the global digital ecosystem and learns to work productively across this ecosystem. • Provides technical coaching to associates on digital focus areas and project facilitation to ensure that knowledge and practices are successfully shared and learned. • Promotes team collaboration, ensures that project teams have the right mix of skills and leverages individual strengths effectively to meet project outcomes. • Ensures that the team gathers and learns from feedback, successes and failures as the work unfolds. • Overcomes obstacles and consistently delivers results through the team. Competencies Needed for Success • B.S. or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related engineering / technical field plus 15 years experience • Demonstrates expertise in one or more focus areas (sensor development, automation and controls, back end, front end, native application dev, data science, etc.) with proficiency in full IoT stack Preferred Qualifications • M.S. (or equivalent experience) in in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related engineering / technical field plus 13 years experience • Demonstrates expertise in one or more focus areas (sensor development, automation and controls, back end, front end, native application dev, data science, etc.) with proficiency in full IoT stack Preferred Personality Traits • Problem solving specific issues, and challenges related to digital project implementation. • Problem solving technically challenging issues. • Prioritizing and planning day to day work activities to ensure accomplishment of aligned deliverables (per Mgr
