About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Lecturer to join our Discipline of Physiotherapy within the Department of Allied Health on a full-time or part-time basis (job share arrangements available for physiotherapists who want to combine physiotherapy practice with academia).
In this role, you will specifically build physiotherapy placement capacity and related supervision and assessment, and will work in collaboration with the Discipline Lead, Physiotherapy Course Director and the professional placement team to achieve this objective. Developing practice partnerships with health sector colleagues to advance practice-based competency development and scholarship will be critical to this role.
As the Senior Lecturer, you will contribute to the leadership, development and review of the physiotherapy course, using blended models of unit delivery, participating in the administration and ongoing curriculum development of units and progressing research and scholarship aligned to the strategic direction of the school. You will facilitate the overall coordination of units, including teaching and marking assessments and be expected to lead and contribute to research activities in the School of Health Sciences in Physiotherapy and/or pedagogy, and will be expected to carry out appropriate activities that will maintain and develop your scholarly, research and/or professional expertise.
About You
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:
Demonstrated clinical and/or research experience in the field of cardiorespiratory physiotherapy.
Demonstrated experience in tertiary teaching including a record of co-ordination, teaching and curriculum development and teaching physiotherapy to diverse audiences.
Interest in and experience with application of technologies to improve health practice.
Experience with online learning and teaching methods in physiotherapy including creation or use of leading edge/best practice delivery methods such as flexible delivery formats is preferred.
A track record of leading, planning, supervising and conducting physiotherapy or related research within a broader overall team environment to identify complementary expertise and initiate appropriate collaborations is highly desirable.
Demonstrated capacity to build research teams and partnerships and in practice research supervision to achieve high impact research outcomes is preferred.
Qualifications
A Doctorate qualification appropriate to the discipline or equivalent clinical experience and professional standing.
AHPRA registration as a physiotherapist.
