5+ years Linux experience in a production environment 24X7X365
Solid Advanced Linux administration skills with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), CentOS, or Oracle Linux versions 5 and 6, and bonus for 7 – Install, configure, patch and troubleshoot
Experience with the full deployment cycle: Dev, Test, QA, Staging, and production.
Ability to work with other groups: QA, Engineering, and DEV
Very strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to resolve problems
Experience with shell scripting: python or perl
Participating in a 24x7x365 On-call rotation.
Candidates must have good verbal and written communication skills.
General knowledge of networking TCP/IP services (DNS, DHCP, SSH, SMTP, HTTP, FTP, NFS, CIFS, VLANs, SNMP, VPN, and SSL).
Understanding of storage concepts RAID levels 1, 5 and 6
Working knowledge in a virtualized environment using VMWare 5.5 Bonus for 6
Experience with SAN/NAS storage
Experience in cPanel/WHM and Plesk .
Experience in Zimbra mailbox configurations (scheduling, restores, permissions, ZCO)
Experience in custom Zimbra scripting in support of a mail migration project
Thrive in a team environment and work well with others.
Nice to haves:
Experience working in a multi hosted sites
Networking: Firewalls, switches, routers and Load Balancer concepts
Understanding of automatic configuration tools like puppet, chef or cFengine
Database experience – MySQL, Oracle or Postgres – Setup, tuning, backup and restore
