Role Overview

Hermès Australia is seeking a Senior Logistics Manager, based in Sydney, reporting to the Operations Director.
This business-critical role will oversee logistics and supply chain operations, ensuring secure storage and efficient shipment of products to stores and customers.
The position requires strategic leadership, continuous improvement, and alignment with Hermès’ values and long-term objectives.
Key responsibilities include managing third-party logistics (3PL) operations, optimizing flows for retail and e-commerce, and ensuring compliance with company standards and regulations.
Driving the successful implementation and integration of SAP ERP within logistics operations to enhance efficiency and data accuracy.

Main Missions of the Senior Logistics Manager:

Lead the logistics team at the 3PL Distribution Centre to manage storage and distribution for five retail stores and e-commerce fulfillment.
Oversee the 3PL contract, ensuring performance and compliance with Hermès standards.
Collaborate closely with retail, merchandising, e-commerce, and inventory teams to plan deliveries and maintain efficient communication.
Serve as the main point of contact for logistics within the Hermès Group, including global supply chain teams and vendor logistics.
Champion SAP ERP implementation, ensuring smooth adoption, training, and alignment with business processes for improved operational visibility and reporting.

Logistics Strategy and Planning:

Design and implement Hermès Australia’s logistics strategy.
Manage logistics and transport budgets, including planning and invoicing control.
Establish shipping flow forecasts (collections, retail, e-commerce, returns, destocking).
Prepare and maintain logistics reporting.
3PL Management:

Oversee contract management and performance monitoring.
Track KPIs and ensure compliance with contractual commitments.
Drive improvement action plans and manage change requests.
Negotiate annually with service providers for cost control and continuous improvement.
Supervision of Warehouse Operations:

Supervise inbound and outbound flows at the 3PL Distribution Centre.
Partner with inventory teams to ensure stock accuracy.
Oversee e-commerce logistics operations.
Inbound Flows:

Monitor quality, quantity, cost, and efficiency of shipments.
Allocate resources and set clear objectives.
Support special import flows for events.
Outbound Flows:

Manage daily replenishment of retail stores and e-commerce fulfillment.
Oversee store-to-store transfers.
Liaise with stores, e-commerce, and 3PL to optimize shipping methods.
Logistics Project Management:

Propose and implement improvement actions to enhance operations and customer satisfaction.
Lead logistics projects, including new processes and value-added services.
Drive the logistics stream of e-commerce setup projects.
Compliance Management:

Accountable for audit preparation linked to Customs, Financial, IT and Health & Safety related to Logistics.
Ensure adherence to Group policies, local regulations, and insurance requirements.
Implement CSR initiatives to reduce carbon footprint.
Team Management:


Animation of the HAUS logistics and warehouse team.
Host Regular team meetings and promote discussion.
Create a sense of team spirit, discipline, and mutual respect, leading everyone towards the same goal.
Insist on exceptional standards and ensure company guidelines are adhered to.
Profile:

University graduate with at least 10 years of proven experience in logistics/ operations as a manager.
Expertise in import / export transportation, warehouse management and customs clearance.
Strong operational and compliance focus.
Organized, flexible and reliable.
Proficient in WMS, ERP, and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
Excellent analytical, accuracy and project management skills.
Ability to work autonomously and under pressure with a positive, can-do attitude.
Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
