Compensation: $100,000 to $125,000/Annually + Bonus + Vacation + Benefits + RRSP + More
We are assisting our client, a global children’s entertainment company, in hiring a Senior Manager, Credit & Collections. In this role, you will be a strategic leader within the finance department, overseeing credit and collections processes for North American operations. This role is critical in safeguarding cash flow, minimizing bad debt, and supporting sustainable revenue growth while maintaining high-standard customer relationships.
How You Will Create Impact
Process Leadership: Lead the collections cycle to ensure timely cash flow and the achievement of DSO (Days Sales Outstanding) targets.
Policy & Risk: Implement and enforce corporate credit policies; monitor customer exposure and partner with Sales to proactively mitigate credit risk.
Strategic Recommendations: Evaluate creditworthiness and provide high-level recommendations to the Senior Director regarding limits and risk profiles.
Escalation Management: Directly manage high-risk accounts, including complex negotiations, disputes, and recovery strategies.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Lead monthly and quarterly meetings with Sales, Operations, and Finance to align on AR health and business objectives.
Team Development: Mentor and develop a team of specialists, fostering a culture of accountability, automation, and continuous improvement.
Reporting & KPIs: Establish performance goals and prepare regular KPI reporting for executive leadership to track collection effectiveness.
Compliance & Audit: Support month-end and quarter-end close processes (including AFDA calculation per IFRS) and ensure compliance with internal and external audits.
What You Bring to the Team
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related
discipline.
Experience: 7+ years of experience in a public company setting, preferably within the Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) industry.
Subject Matter Expertise: Demonstrated mastery of credit risk assessment, collections strategy, and dispute resolution.
Leadership: Proven track record of managing and motivating teams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Experience with large ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced reporting tools.
Advanced Excel skills (Pivot tables, V-lookups, and complex formulas).
