Marriott International is seeking a Senior Manager, Field Marketing to join the Field Marketing Services function within South Asia above property marketing team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking team and grow your marketing career with the world's largest hotel company.
The Senior Manager, Field Marketing will support the Director of Marketing and Communication's efforts and vision to understand and apply consumer insights into marketing plans and deliverables, confirm that marketing activities are aligned with the overall business objectives during need periods and maximize efficiency of marketing spends. It's essential to go the extra mile to make things happen. Capability to creatively strategize campaigns and undertake initiatives to give the umbrella 'Marriott' brand and the brands within the portfolio the visual dominance in the public domain. This position will also closely work with the regional brand teams to ensure the global campaigns are localized and driven via marketing mediums in South Asia. As Marriott continues to grow across South Asia, this role will be intensely involved in the marketing initiatives of new hotel launches. This requires an ability to survey market dynamics and tailor make plans to suit the uniqueness each city/brand/location demands.
The role will also support hotels in generating profitable revenue to increase RevPAR, market share, and brand awareness by fully leveraging marketing programs at the property and market level, and by ensuring that marketing efforts are effectively directed to the consumer.
Key accountability areas include:
(1) developing and implementing market-based strategic plans based on local need-time and demand generation opportunities by driving cluster area initiatives
(2) developing strong working relationships with business partners for attractive promotional, campaign tie-ups and events to build brand recognition in the market
(3) executing and ensuring pull through of regional/Brand marketing programs, suggesting and deploying right channels and platforms
(4) developing training programs and conducting training sessions for hotel marcom
(5) providing communications guidance to property teams, including overall marketing strategy, crisis management plus other media activities
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education and Experience
- Minimum of a graduate from an accredited university in Marketing, Business Administration or related major
- 6 years of marketing experience demonstrating progressive career growth and a pattern of exceptional performance (hospitality industry preferred)
- Domain knowledge and experience in marketing, communications and digital
- Strong knowledge of India media landscape and upto date with latest innovations in marketing
- Desired experience working in an above property or 'cluster' hotel marketing role
Skills and Competencies
- Demonstrates ability to develop and implement successful marketing strategies which is also backed a strong track record
- Demonstrates ability to maintain and grow business of hotels with effective marketing plans and programs.
- Should have the ability and skillset to execute the strategic plans of the discipline
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills; demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships with senior members (e.g. GMs, Sales and Revenue, Leaders, Regional Team, Media Representatives) and external agencies.
- Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.
- Able to effectively prioritize multiple tasks for multiple stakeholders.
- Capable of listening and counseling stakeholders on best approach, including what nonvalue add efforts to drop.
- Displays creativity, initiative, and leadership skills and demonstrates working knowledge of all tasks within area of responsibility
- Strong knowledge/experience in digital marketing - ability to apply latest trends etc in providing the best mix for the business objective at hand
- Works collaboratively with local, regional and national agencies to build awareness and increase exposure for the brand, key company spokespersons, related properties and restaurants.
- Supports the team in marketing and promotion campaigns as well as social media efforts.
- Capable to provide direction to existing hotel marcom managers and new opening resources in the domain.
- Maintaining performance level under pressure or when experiencing changes or challenges in the workplace.
- Setting high standards of performance for self; assuming responsibility for work objectives; initiating, focusing, and monitoring the efforts of self toward the accomplishment of goals; proactively taking action and going beyond what is required.

- Demonstrated ability to use standard software applications (e.g. Excel, PowerPoint, on-line database applications) and preference in proficiency with advanced software programs, such as Photoshop and InDesign
