The Senior Manufacturing Program Manager will play a pivotal role in driving Worley’s ambition to lead in sustainable solutions within the energy, chemicals, and resources sectors
This role is essential for bridging current industry needs with the future of sustainable energy by overseeing the design, development, and implementation of innovative manufacturing solutions
The Manufacturing Program Manager will ensure the seamless integration of advanced technologies, fostering continuous improvement and delivering projects that align with Worley’s sustainability goals
Project Leadership: Manage and deliver multi-million-dollar projects from conception to closure, ensuring alignment with Worley’s sustainability objectives
Oversee diverse teams across multiple locations to achieve seamless project integration and successful outcomes
Technology Integration: Drive the adoption and implementation of cutting-edge technologies, including robotics, automation, model-based design, and advanced sensors, to enhance manufacturing processes’ efficiency, quality, and throughput
Design for Manufacturing (DFM) Expertise: Lead the design, development, and management of DFM production facilities, ensuring that manufacturing processes are optimized for efficiency, scalability, and sustainability
Manufacturing Facility Design: Oversee the design and development of manufacturing facilities that align with industry best practices, optimize production capabilities, and support Worley’s vision of sustainable change
Continuous Improvement: Champion continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging proprietary technology and modularization techniques to optimize manufacturing processes and deliver sustainable value to customers
Team Building and Leadership: Build and lead a multidisciplinary team that includes:
Design Engineers: Responsible for creating initial product designs, ensuring they can be manufactured efficiently and cost-effectively, and considering factors such as simplicity, standardization, materials, tolerances, environment, and assembly
Manufacturing Engineers: Provide input on manufacturing processes, tools, and equipment, optimizing the process and minimizing production costs
Product Managers: Define product requirements and guide the design and manufacturing teams to ensure alignment with company goals and customer needs
Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) Teams: Define quality standards and ensure the manufactured product meets these standards, identifying and addressing potential quality issues
Procurement and Supply Chain Teams: Source materials, components, and suppliers, ensuring they meet quality and cost requirements
Cost Estimators: Calculate expected manufacturing costs based on design and manufacturing plans, helping the organization understand the cost implications of design decisions
Tooling and Equipment Specialists: Select or design the tools, molds, and equipment needed for manufacturing, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness
Cross-Functional Teams: Oversee the DFM process, bringing together experts from various departments for effective communication and collaboration
Suppliers and Contract Manufacturers: Work closely with external suppliers or contract manufacturers to meet DFM requirements
Test and Inspection Teams: Define testing and inspection procedures to ensure the quality and reliability of the manufactured product
Regulatory and Compliance Experts: Ensure the design and manufacturing processes meet required standards
Continuous Improvement Teams: Focus on identifying opportunities for efficiency and quality enhancements within manufacturing processes

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

Key Responsibilities
