Company Overview
OSS Maritime Group is an Australia-based multinational and a leading provider of logistics and marine services, with an excellent trading record of over 30 years. Due to recent expansion, we are seeking an additional Senior Marketing Officer to join our head office in Melbourne. We value creativity, initiative, and employee ideas.
Job Purpose
- Serve as a senior member of the Marketing team, contributing to strategy and execution
- Maintain and update customer information databases
- Develop and expand existing markets while identifying new opportunities
- Report directly to the General Manager
- Work Type: On-site only
- Working Hours: Standard business hours, plus some work outside normal hours; occasional weekend work (2–3 hours) included in salary
Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Developing and leading marketing strategies across multiple channels to support company growth and market expansion;
- Planning, executing, and monitoring marketing campaigns, ensuring alignment with business objectives and ROI;
- Managing and mentoring junior marketing staff, providing guidance and support to ensure team effectiveness;
- Overseeing the maintenance and optimisation of customer databases, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information for decision-making;
- Analysing market trends, competitors, and customer insights to identify new opportunities and recommend actionable strategies;
- Liaising with key clients and stakeholders to strengthen relationships and drive business opportunities;
- Preparing high-level reports, proposals, and presentations for management and internal stakeholders;
- Managing budgets, quotations, and marketing resources efficiently;
- Representing OSS Maritime Group at industry events or client meetings as required; &
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives within the marketing team and processes.
Job Requirements
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in an office environment, preferably in a senior marketing role and in the logistics or shipping industry;
- Excellent written and interpersonal skills;
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite;
- Ability to speak Filipino is highly desirable; &
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, take initiative, and lead projects.
