Job Description
You will be working in a busy national media team that tells the charity's consumers (e.g. children, parents, teachers) about the work and importance of the NSPCC. This is a varied and exciting role that requires creativity and the ability to work across a range of teams.
There is no typical day in this team, but what you can expect includes:
• helping to decide the stories that form the Consumer Media calendar,
• selling stories in to national broadcast, print, online and new media, such as podcasts,
• leading on the consumer PR for fundraising moments, including our two largest campaigns, Christmas and our flagship, Childhood Day,
• working with the Lived Experience team to share stories of adult survivors.
We're looking for someone who has:
• excellent cross-departmental working skills,
• the ability to be organised and keep their cool in stressful situations,
• creativity and a great eye for a story, whether that's through a PR moment or a data-driven story,
• passion about working with a children's charity and is a caring person who can work with a variety of individuals, including our two advisory boards made up of dynamic, young people.
