Job Description
We are looking for a seasoned engineering leader to drive the strategy, execution, and delivery of enterprise-grade software products in the database, performance monitoring, or observability domain. You will lead multiple teams (including managers), partner closely with Product Management, and own delivery across features, platform, and reliability. The ideal candidate brings deep engineering rigor, a hands-on foundation in C#/.NET, and proven expertise with relational databases—preferably Microsoft SQL Server at production scale.
• Role: Senior .Net Architect
• Location: All Persistent Locations
• Experience: 15 to 25 Years
• Job Type: Full time employment
What You'll Do:
• Leadership & Organization
• Lead multiple engineering teams (incl. managers), setting vision, goals, and execution standards.
• Build, coach, and mentor high-performing teams; drive succession planning and career growth.
• Foster an engineering culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Product Delivery & Roadmap
• Partner with Product Management to define roadmaps, scope trade-offs, and release priorities across features, platform investments, and KTLO (keep-the-lights-on) work.
• Ensure predictable delivery using agile practices (Scrum/Kanban), with clear metrics and transparency.
• Engineering Excellence
• Champion modern engineering practices—CI/CD, code reviews, test automation, secure development, and observability-by-design.
• Maintain technical bar: guide architectural decisions, design reviews, and production readiness.
• Database Performance & Reliability
• Oversee performance and resiliency initiatives across SQL-backed systems—query plan analysis, indexing strategies, concurrency management (blocking/deadlocks), and wait statistics.
• Drive performance monitoring/observability features and operational excellence (SLOs/SLIs).
• Stakeholder & Executive Communication
• Influence cross-functionally across time zones; represent engineering with senior leadership, customers, and field teams.
• Proactively manage risks, dependencies, and communications around key releases.
Expertise You'll Bring:
• 15+ years of overall software engineering experience, including 7+ years in people management and 3–5 years leading managers or multiple teams.
• Proven experience delivering and scaling commercial enterprise software (on‑prem or hybrid), ideally in the database, performance monitoring, or observability domain.
• Strong hands‑on foundation in C#/.NET, with deep understanding of modern engineering practices—CI/CD, code reviews, automation, DevOps workflows, and high-quality SDLC processes.
• Expert-level understanding of relational databases and SQL performance, including query plans, indexing strategies, wait statistics, and troubleshooting issues such as blocking and deadlocks.
• Preferred background with Microsoft SQL Server in high-volume, production-grade environments.
• Strong collaboration experience with Product Management to define roadmaps, balance trade-offs, and prioritize features, platform work, and operational reliability.
• Proven ability to lead through influence in cross-functional, distributed environments and communicate effectively with senior leadership, customers, and field teams.
• Solid grounding in agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) and the end‑to‑end software development lifecycle for enterprise products.
Benefits:
• Competitive salary and benefits package
• Culture focused on talent development with quarterly growth opportunities and company-sponsored higher education and certifications
• Opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies
• Employee engagement initiatives such as project parties, flexible work hours, and Long Service awards
• Annual health check-ups
• Insurance coverage: group term life, personal accident, and Mediclaim hospitalization for self, spouse, two children, and parents
