The team
The Information Technology team, part of the Transformation Office, drives ASIC's digital and data agenda by delivering core technology platforms. Within IT, Digital Workplace Services (DWS) is leading a major transformation to position ASIC as a `best in class' regulator. Key initiatives include modern workplace solutions, mobility, security, and cloud, with a strong focus on data sharing, analytics, and automation.
The role
Are you a Senior Network Engineer who wants to do more than just "keep the lights on"?
We're looking for a hands-on technical leader to help evolve our enterprise network platforms and lift the capability of our engineering team.
This role is ideal for someone who loves deep networking, but also believes in automation, modern engineering practices, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities will include:
Act as the technical authority for enterprise and data-centre networks
Lead the design and evolution of:
Cisco wired and Wi-Fi networks (Wifi Only Workplace!)
Data-centre switching and routing
F5 BIG-IP application delivery platforms
Drive network automation using scripting, APIs, and modern tooling
Mentor engineers and embed modern ways of working
Work closely with cloud, security, and application teams on hybrid and cloud-aligned solutions
Solve complex problems and act as an escalation point for critical incidents
About you
Strong hands-on experience with Cisco enterprise networking
Solid data-centre networking background
Practical experience with F5 BIG-IP
A passion for automation and engineering excellence
Python, Ansible, APIs, Git - or a strong desire to deepen these skills
Experience working with or alongside cloud platforms
A collaborative mindset and the ability to mentor others
