As a key player in the Northrop Grumman Classified Solutions team, you will be instrumental in maintaining, designing, and improving our classified networks, ensuring operational excellence in a collaborative team environment. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Ensuring seamless operations of classified LAN/WAN networks.
• Planning, designing, configuring, and installing network hardware to meet customer needs.
• Maintaining expertise in networking technology, including routers, firewalls, switches, and gateways.
• Proposing cost-effective solutions to management based on current and future communication needs.
• Creating and maintaining comprehensive network documentation and operational instructions.
• Installing and configuring Cisco routers, switches, and Palo Alto firewalls.
• Managing Cisco Call Manager VoIP systems.
• Conducting network monitoring and analysis for strategic planning.
• Coordinating third-party maintenance for network equipment when necessary.
• Designing network architecture and selecting appropriate hardware/software packages.
• Providing incident and service support in line with service level agreements.
• Collaborating with engineering users, systems administrators, and network teams.
Additional responsibilities include:
• Managing complex network designs and implementations.
• Finding creative solutions to intricate networking problems.
• Supporting project teams with clear project requirements and design solutions.
• Documenting network technologies and performing troubleshooting analyses.
• Implementing and troubleshooting LAN technologies such as VLANs and trunking.
• Providing advanced support for network issues.
• Working off-hours or weekends as needed to ensure network integrity.
• Utilizing analysis tools for network troubleshooting and documentation.
• Lifting equipment up to 40 pounds when necessary.
• Regularly interfacing with customers to manage installations and timely resolutions.
Basic Qualifications:
• Master's degree with 6 years of experience, or Bachelor's degree with 8 years, or Associate's degree with 10 years, or High School Diploma with 12 years of IT experience.
• Current DOD 8570 IAT level 2 baseline certification (Security+ CE or equivalent).
• Active, fully adjudicated DOD Top Secret clearance.
• Abilities to maintain Top Secret/SCI clearance and access to Special Programs.
• Proficiency in designing and managing LAN & WAN networks, including Cisco hardware.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Network Engineering.
• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance, Polygraph, or SAP/SAR access.
• Network+ certification or CCNP/CCIE certifications.
• Experience with network analysis tools such as WireShark and SolarWinds.
• Knowledge of TACLANE configuration.
• Previous experience with network integration challenges and capacity analysis.
• Leadership experience or management of small teams.
