Senior Operational Accountant

Rapid growth, M& A Oriented, PE backed company is recruiting a dynamic Senior Accountant based in Glen Allen, Virginia, United States. The successful candidate will be integral to our financial operations, ensuring accurate financial transaction recording and reporting for our construction-service oriented entities. This role involves collaboration within a cross-functional accounting and finance team and interaction with operational team members.Responsibilities:• Provide accounting support for Operations entities• Process monthly reoccurring journal entries as part of the month-end close process• Perform account reconciliations, with a focus on bank reconciliations, credit card transaction recording and review, and prepaid and work in progress general ledger accounts• Collaborate with AP and AR teams as part of general ledger transaction reviews and provide resolution and guidance to teams• Maintain organized and accurate financial records in accordance with company policies and accounting standards• Assist with external audits and provide necessary support to auditors• Assist Operations Accounting Manager with project accounting and ad hoc financial systems and process improvement projects• Exhibit the ability to multitask, learn quickly, cross-train and perform various accounting tasks (AP, AR, & GL)Skills:• Account Reconciliation• Balance Sheet Reconciliation• Bank Reconciliations• General Ledger• Journal Entries• Microsoft Excel• Month End Close• NetSuite• Inventory Accounting• Construction• Monthly Bank Reconciliation
