Company Overview: We are a leading global Tier 1 automotive supplier, dedicated to excellence in the industry. We are currently seeking a Senior Plant Accountant to join our team and support our plant operations.
Purpose of the Role: As the Senior Plant Accountant, you will assist the controller in overseeing the financial activities of the plant. Your role will involve managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll, as well as processing essential monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare accurate monthly financial statements and forecasts for the plant.
• Audit, reconcile, and create schedules for general ledger and inventory activities.
• Compile and analyze data for budgeting and various accounting projects.
• Supervise daily accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions.
• Generate and review monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, including audit preparation and audit binder management.
• Manage financial aspects including SRP packages, operations memos, capital appropriations, exchange rate fluctuations, and standard cost information. Oversee account reconciliations and fixed asset maintenance.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of company policies and procedures.
Job Requirements
• Proficiency with ABC costing systems and ADP payroll processing, reconciliation, and reporting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
• Minimum of 5 years of practical accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a manufacturing environment.
Skills And Qualifications
• Advanced computer skills (PC, AS 400).
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and analytical abilities.
• Expertise in advanced accounting functions, including standard cost management, variance analysis, forecasting, budgeting, profit analysis, and performance measurement.
