Job Description
• Role Summary: We are looking for a seasoned Sr. PostgreSQL DBA to join our team. As a key member of our database administration team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our PostgreSQL databases.
• Responsibilities Include:
• Database Performance and Optimization: Monitor and optimize database performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to improve system efficiency.
• Database Security and Compliance: Ensure the security and integrity of sensitive data by implementing appropriate access controls, encryption, and auditing mechanisms.
• Database Backup and Recovery: Develop and implement robust backup and recovery strategies to minimize downtime in case of failures.
• Ideal Candidate Profile:
• Experience with PostgreSQL Replication: Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL replication, including setting up and managing standby servers.
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL Configuration Parameters: Strong understanding of PostgreSQL configuration parameters, including settings for memory, disk space, and other resources.
• Excellent Troubleshooting Skills: Ability to troubleshoot complex database issues, including performance problems, errors, and exceptions.
