The Role: Senior Principal, Transformation

The Senior Principal – Transformation is a senior delivery and leadership role within Slalom's Strategy, Transformation & Customer Experience (STCX) capability. The primary focus of this role is Operating Model design and organisational design, with a blend of operational improvement expertise. The Senior Principal will serve as Engagement Lead across complex transformation programs, owning project delivery, stakeholder management, and team leadership. This role works closely with executive-level clients and internal project teams, and carries a personal sales contribution target inclusive of managed and net new revenue. The Senior Principal will also be a people leader, initially managing a team of two with expected growth over time.

What you’ll do

Serve as Engagement Lead on transformation projects, owning end-to-end delivery accountability including project management, quality outcomes, and client satisfaction
Design and implement Operating Models and organisational design solutions that enable clients to transform how their people and functions work
Lead large-scale operational improvement programs, translating strategic intent into practical and sustainable changes to ways of working
Independently manage and interface with executive-level stakeholders, facilitating workshops, presenting recommendations, and maintaining trusted client relationships
Embed with clients across industries including Non-Banking Financial Services, Travel, and Retail & Consumer Goods to provide hands-on transformation support
Support technology transformation and delivery projects, including product operating model design and data modernisation initiatives
Participate in go-to-market (GTM) activities, contributing to on-selling within existing accounts and generating net new revenue in line with a personal sales contribution target
Manage and develop a team of consultants, providing coaching, direction, and performance support to build capability within the practice
Partner with Directors and senior leadership to free up capacity for GTM focus, ensuring strong delivery execution across the portfolio

What You'll Bring

Demonstrated experience leading Operating Model transitions and large-scale operational improvement programs from design through to execution
Strong expertise in organisational design, including assessing current-state models and designing future-state structures with a focus on how people work
Proven ability to independently engage and manage executive-level stakeholders across complex client environments
Experience leading or supporting technology transformation and delivery projects, with an understanding of how digital and data initiatives intersect with organisational change
Solid project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams, teams, and deliverables concurrently
Experience managing people, with a track record of developing and leading high-performing teams
Demonstrated ability to embed with clients and operate as a trusted extension of their leadership team
Commercial awareness, including experience contributing to revenue targets, account growth, and business development activities
Experience in Financial Services, particularly Non-Banking Financial Services, is advantageous but not essential

We wish to build a team that echoes the diversity of the communities we serve, and our values are an active part of our every-day, guiding our decisions.

What keeps us here?

When we moved to Australia in 2020, we had no idea just how important our work/life balance would need to be. We’ve asked our consultants what makes Slalom a great place to work and the most common answer – “the freedom to be ourselves when life gets in the way”. We make a big effort to bring everyone together and allow space when space is needed. We believe in helping each other thrive in work and life and are proud to invest in benefits that include holistic wellbeing, meaningful allowances, and investment in our team’s professional, technical, and personal growth.
