As a key member of the Product Management team, the Senior Product Manager – AI will be responsible for responsible for defining and executing the strategy for internal and external platform AI capabilities. This role will lead the development of scalable data products that transform complex information into actionable insights for clients and internal teams. The Senior Product Manager will collaborate closely with data engineering, analytics, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure data-driven decision-making is at the core of our travel management solutions. The ideal candidate combines technical expertise with strong product management skills to drive innovation, improve operational efficiency, and enhance the traveler experience.

Expedition Expectations
Road mapping & Planning
Define and prioritize technology platform, data and AI features based on business impact, customer needs, and market trends.
Develop and maintain a strategic product roadmap aligned with company objectives and stakeholder priorities.
Lead agile product development practices using Jira, ensure efficient backlog management, planning, and execution.
Stay up to date on AI trends, technologies, and emerging best practices to proactively identify innovation opportunities.
Define requirements for industry leading AI features to drive efficiency for agents, travelers and business stakeholders.
Delivery & Execution
Own the end-to-end product development lifecycle for platform infrastructure and AI capabilities, from ideation to launch.
Identify, evaluate, and validate AI use cases across the travel experience - enhancing personalization, automation, and customer support
Demonstrate strong understanding of AI/ML capabilities and limitations- distinguishing what’s possible from what’s hype
Partner with data engineering, product, and UX teams to build scalable AI and data products
Define and track key product performance metrics, ensuring insights drive continuous improvement.
Analyze quantitative and qualitative data to make data-informed product decisions.
Ensure timely and high-quality delivery of data-driven features, balancing speed, scalability, compliance and responsible AI practices.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, sales, marketing, engineering, and user experience, to align on business goals and customer needs.
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
Act as the bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders, translating data capabilities into business value.
Effective communication skills, particularly in explaining AI concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Work closely with leadership to define and communicate the vision, roadmap, and impact of data products.
Document AI solutions and workflows to ensure clear stakeholder alignment around requirements, capabilities and constraints.
Passport to Success
Degree in Business, Computer Science or a related discipline
Minimum 5 years’ experience in product management or a related role
Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and product development processes
Experience defining a roadmap for an area with input from multiple sources
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions
Outstanding communication (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.
Deep understanding of current AI trends, tools, and technologies.
Experience with AI tooling and AI evals as a part of the feature development process.
Strategic thinker with a strong bias for action and operational follow-through.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where continuous innovation is a must
Willingness to roll up your sleeves and do whatever is necessary; general manager / owner mentality
A demonstrated record of partnering with teams across an organization to influence and achieve business results across multiple teams who may have different goals
Proven creativity in the software and services that you've helped deliver
Positive attitude and fit with the Direct Travel team culture
Experience with travel industry systems and technologies is a plus
Must be able to lawfully work within the US and have unrestricted work authorization for US
