Job description, work day and responsibilities
This is a full time role with our global engineering client.
Purpose -
This position is to aid the smooth execution of Projects by proper Project Planning. Monitoring and reporting.
Responsibilities -
? Create Project Plan meeting Project requirements coordinating with all Project Stakeholders
? Escalate and resolve any Planning clashes
? Monitor project progress and provide periodic reports to manage ment and clients, as needed
? Improve processes and tools
Primary tasks-
Guide and Train Associate/Junior Planners.
Identify the Projects requirements.
Support and input to the Tender Team in the tender phase (ex. RFQ analysis of requirements of planning and reporting).
Develop, implement and maintain procedures, means and tools to ensure the efficient organization and operation of the scheduling, progress control and reporting activities across the Project.
Customize as necessary the Project Work Breakdown Struc ture to comply with the Project needs and Company standard in terms of progress control and reporting, for all phases of the Project.
Collect data and specifications necessary to compile long and short-term activity plans.
Develop, update and revise the overall integrated Project Schedules as required by Contract and Company standard, using specific planning software/systems.
To provide analysis and simulations of the schedules as re quired.
Identify/highlight planning clashes or interfaces and works with the team to resolve possible issues.
Coordinate schedule from multiple sub-contractors / vendors and incorporate the information gathered into the overall project master schedule.
Assign all proper resources (if available) on the schedule ac cording to the needs of every project; managing the work load.
Prepare reports (ex. Weekly, Monthly, bar charts, S-curves, manpower histograms, etc.) in accordance with Project requirement and Company standard for Client, Project Team and Management.
Support in monitoring of the Contract and assisting the Project Management by analysing actual progress versus planned progress and key performance indicators and suggesting recommended actions.
Participate in meetings with the Client, Project Team, Partners, Authorities and other Stakeholders as required.
Perform schedule risk analysis (gather data, input data, ana lyse, report) on a periodic basis or as required. Preparation Project Closing Reports and Lesson Learn report.
Education -
Engineering degree
PMP desired
Experience-
8+ years relevant experience in Project Planning preferably in EPC/ Cable / Oil & Gas / Piping / Offshore Industry
IT skills-
Primavera P6 mandatory
Travel-
1 -2 months to Sweden, as part of onboarding and as required, thereafter maybe required to visit Site onshore/offshore occasionally to complete planning reviews.
