We are seeking a talented and motivated individual to fill the position of Permanent Senior Property Accountant within our dynamic finance team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on real estate accounting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the financial reporting and analysis of a portfolio of properties, ensuring compliance with GAAP and other applicable regulations. This position offers an excellent opportunity for career growth and advancement within the finance industry.
Responsibilities
• Oversee the financial reporting process for a portfolio of properties, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of financial statements.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in accordance with GAAP.
• Conduct detailed financial analysis, including variance analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Coordinate with external auditors to facilitate audits and reviews.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, including federal, state, and local tax laws.
• Collaborate with property managers and other stakeholders to optimize financial performance.
• Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
• Participate in special projects and initiatives as required.
Qualifications
• Associate Degree or Bachelor's Degree in accounting, or a related field.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the real estate or finance industry.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and other applicable accounting standards.
• Excellent analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Experience with property management software is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
